The University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA) is a multidisciplinary university that develops innovative, fundamental and applied research. It provides more than 29 000 students with a wide initial undergraduate studies program which corresponds to society’s needs in all domains of the knowledge.
With 30 laboratories approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, 4 Post-Doctoral Schools and around 850 researchers and lecturers-researchers, the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne is highly regarded by research bodies such as CNRS, INSERM, INRA, INERIS and ANSES.
Its scientific strategy is based on 4 scientific centers with interface applications covering all its disciplinary fields : Agro-sciences, Environment, Biotechnologies & Bioeconomics, Digital & Engineering Sciences, Health, Human & Social Sciences
GEGENAA laboratory (Study Group on Geomaterials and Natural, Anthropogenic and Archaeological Environments) is composed of 15 tenured researchers teaching at the University and 8 persons for the technical staff. The laboratory works in both environmental sciences and human and social sciences. It gathers many fields: geology, geomorphology, earth science, geochemistry, archeology.
