Cauchard is a subsidiary of Group Luquet Duranton (http://cauchard.com/). Cauchard aims to develop, design, and manufacture archives boxes for long-term conservation of cultural unvaluable heritage mainly in Europe and more specifically to the French market, but its expertise is well known through Europe.  

Since one year, Cauchard is actively taking part in a research and development project which has the objective to manufacture a temperature and relative humidity sensor on a paper substrate to be able to monitor variation of this macroscopic values within a single archive box. A proof-of-concept was successfully made and demonstrators are available. 

A second solution created is an anticounterfeiting label based on electrochromism (capacity of some materials to change their colors thanks to an electrical potential difference). They succeeded in creating a label with an electrochromic display, linked to a chip and an antenna. This label can be attached to a piece of art to guarantee its authentication without any specific equipment.
