Dr. Keynan's research focuses on the integration of digital technologies and social media in both civic discussions and learning processes in civil society and social movements. At the field, and as part of Keynan's research, he leads training and learning processes in third sector bodies in Israel. In addition, he is a member of the organizing team of the first regional climate conferences in Israel 2020-2021, in which citizens from all over the country take part in conferences to prepare for the climate crisis. Keynan is also a member of the first Local Citizens' Assembly in Israel, in which citizens from a chosen local authority discuss the preparation to the climate crisis at a local context. 

Dr. Gigi is the Chair of Sapir College's Communications Department. His primary areas of interest are the sociological issues created by the relationships between Israel's center and periphery, impacted by ethnicity and location such as development towns and kibbutzim; the sociology of Israeli politics and mass media. Dr. Gigi joined the Communications Department in 2001, and was appointed as a senior lecturer in 2011. Dr. Gigi's additional professional activities includes worldwide research with UNESCO on the media coverage of young adults in Israel. He was the chair of Sapir' Faculty Union from 2009-2016, and volunteers in various NGOs such as the Sderot Cinematheque and FAB (Friendship Across Borders), etc.
